Canal Packet Boat mooring for the evening


Packet Boats were boats filled with trade or grains that used the Erie Canal for commerce in the early 1800's.

Now self propelled replicas can be rented for vacationers who want to travel the length( or part of the length) of the canal, visiting small towns like Fairport and taking in other interesting sights along the way.
